Surveying

The Surveying Department of the Engineering Division of Public works consists of a 3-man crew that performs mainly design surveys for a variety of engineering projects.  In addition, they are responsible for maintaining the Kingsport Geodetic Reference Network, monitoring remaining capacity at the Kingsport Demolition Landfill, Right-of-Way locations for Property Maintenance, and various surveys for other City departments as needed.  They have a combined surveying experience of 46 years.
